Join Muncie Artists at the Murray Building Studios
Join our vibrant community of Muncie artists at the Murray Building Studios as we open our doors for the Brink of Summer ArtsWalk June 1, 2023 from 5-8 pm. A FULL event, Muncie’s finest talents will unveil their remarkable creations this month across DWNTWN. Prepare to be captivated by an array of stunning artworks available for purchase, with prices as low as under $40.
Live music will be performed streetside by the GringoGadjo duet. Upstairs, enjoy light refreshments in the second-floor foyer sponsored by renowned artists, including certified Bob Ross instructor Chris Taylor, silk painter Carrie Wright, oil painter & printmaker Kate Thorson, ink line artist Jeff Brackett, and myself, acrylic and mixed media artist Cassie Dunmyer. A FULL Event
The Brink of Summer ArtsWalk will be a FULL event. Not only will our artists be hosting open studios, but there are many notable things to check out and enjoy this month in downtown Muncie. Gordy Fine Art and Framing, Cornerstone, Madjax and other DWNTWN galleries will be open and featuring various Muncie artists and media. With Flower Hour, you can collect flowers from 10 different locations to create a beautiful, custom bouquet. At YART, local makers and vendors are selling art and crafts all priced under $40 at Canan Commons. There will be live music and dance featuring Muncie Ballet Studio, America’s Hometown Jazz Combo and Ben Davis and Alex Kosla Duo. You can also visit the many DWNTWN eateries or local food trucks Three Bears Concessions, Tarp’s Dogs and Chips, and La Patrona.
