Two Regional Juried Indiana Art Shows
I’m excited to announce I’m an exhibiting artist at two regional juried art shows, Open Space: Art About the Land and RAM’s 125th Annual Exhibition by Indiana and Ohio Artists. Both shows are on display November through January.
Open Space: Art About the Land exhibition
Both “Dissent”and “To A Flame” were selected by juror Walt Bistline for this year’s Open Space: Art About the Land exhibition. Created in partnership with Red-Tail Land Conservancy, Open Space encourages Indiana artists to derive creative inspiration from the land around us. A portion of the proceeds benefit Red-tail Land Conservancy and their work to protect wildlife habitats, restore ecosystems to health, and provide the community with ways to connect with nature.
We made it to the Open Space Art About the Land reception as a new family of four!
My artwork will be on exhibit at the Anderson Museum of Art (AMOA) November 3rd – January 6th. The show will not be traveling this year which means my artwork will stay at AMOA for the entirety of the exhibition. The show has been split roughly in half, with work displaying simultaneously at AMOA and Minnetrista. Members at either organization, AMOA or Minnetrista, will have free admission to see both portions of the exhibition.
RAM’s 125th Annual Exhibition by Indiana and Ohio Artists
Jurors Greg Hull and Carol Ann Carter selected “The Last Little House on the Prairie” for RAM’s 125th Annual Exhibition by Indiana and Ohio Artists. I was very excited to have work selected for both shows, but particularly this one as it’s my first time displaying at the Richmond Museum of Art (RAM).
The show is open to the public November 9, 2023 through January 6, 2024 at RAM in Richmond, Indiana.
Solo Exhibition at Anna Bier Gallery
Once the shows come down, the work will then travel to the Anna Bier Gallery in Greenville, Ohio for my first solo gallery show, “The New Abnormal.” Artwork will be on display and available for purchase January 20th through February 24th. The exhibit is open to the public Saturdays from 11am – 1pm.
The closing reception is February 24th at 5:30pm and coincides with Lee Rocker of The Stray Cats performing in the adjoining auditorium in St. Clair Memorial Hall. I will be available to talk about the artwork until the concert begins at 7pm and again during intermission.
To hear more about the show, you can listen to this interview with Jennifer Overholser, the Director of Visual Arts for DCCA/Anna Bier Gallery, on WTGR 97.5. She talks about her new position, the local arts community, and gives a lot of great information about my upcoming solo show, “The New Abnormal.”
